Sarah Smith was born and raised in Fort Worth TX. Inspired at a young age by the writings of John Muir and the photographs of Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange and Margret Bourke- White, Sarah received her first camera at age 12. Sarah continued her love for photography throughout high school and beyond working at a portrait studio for 4 years after she graduated. It was then she decided to pursue other interests and went back to school where she received her Associate's in General Studies from Tarrant County College, she also received her Bachelor Fine Arts in Photography in December of 2014 from the Art Institute of Fort Worth. After College Sarah worked as head of Marketing and Sales at Barron Photografix in Downtown Fort Worth, she left there in 2018 to pursue a career in teaching. Accomplishments:
2018 - Published in Cowgirl Magazine- wedding feature from Highland Wedding Photography.
Lead photographer at Acoustic Drive Magazine.
Spring 2014- Contributing Photographer to Lux Gallery Show at the Arlington Art Museum.
2012-2014- President of the Photography Club at The Art Institute of Fort Worth.
Fall 2013- Director and executor of Art in the Alley Gallery show sponsored by the AI Photography Club and the House of Wynn.
Spring 2013-2014- contributing Photographer to The Chisholm Trail Parkway Mosaics Project with Artist Norie Sato.
